8.30am bowl of porridge with oat milk, blueberries, nuts and seeds, ground almonds and flax oil Cup of coffee with cow milk and one sugar

1.30pm two pieces of ryvita with olive spread, a cooked beetroot, mixed bean salad.

5pm a banana

5pm handful of chilli rice crackers

8pm veg risotto with pepper, mushroom, broccoli, spinach and brown rice (couldnt eat much)

Stinking head cold today. Kind of put me off food.

Wednesday's diary

7am bowl of granola with oat milk and blueberries

10.30am a banana

11.20am coffee with cow milk and one sugar

4pm 6 oat cake biscuits with aubergine spread

6.40pm an apple

8pm spag Bol sauce (with minced beef & veg) with brown rice

Managed to miss my lunch! Oops. And then came down with a bad cold. Atchoo!

Yesterdays diary 9am bowl of granola with oat milk and 2 strawberries

12.30pm cup of coffee with cow milk and one sugar. bowl of Covent Garden pepper and pear soup with added spinach, broccoli and 3pieces of ryvita and aubergine spread (just discovered this stuff in health good shop - it's delicious!)

2.30pm a banana

3.30pm handful of mixed nuts

5pm 100g of small sweetfire beetroot

7pm dinner at a friend's: Tomato, mozzarella cheese and salami for starters. Sea bass, mushroom risotto with white rice and green beans for main Cheese board for afters: 4 cream crackers with blue cheese, Brie, Wensleydale, cheddar. 3-4 glasses White wine Cup of coffee with cow milk

10pm 2 pints of water before bed!!

Yep, a total blow-out at dinner but I'm not bothered by it, I'd be far more bothered by turning into a fussy and difficult dinner guest. This was Carl and I's first Cardiff dinner invitation by a lovely friend and the invitation, food and conversation were all great. I was loathe to mar that by trying to dictate the menu. I think it must be manners before diet when someone is going to the very kind effort of cooking for me! Mind you I blatantly attacked the cheeseboard with far more gusto than was called for... ;)

Getgood eats... Veggie chilli with chicken in it

Yesterdays diary

9am bowl of granola with oat milk.

10.30am cup of coffee with cow milk and one sugar.

2pm bowl of Covent Garden pepper and pear soup with added spinach, 3 pieces of ryvita and houmous.

6pm an apple

8.30pm veggie chilli with brown rice and bits of roast chicken in it (so, not veggie chilli at all really).

10pm bowl of strawberries with organic natural yoghurt and sprinkling of brown sugar.

Again not doing great with eating every 3 hours thing. Also think the fried foods and alcohol on sunday took their toll - felt quite moody, stressed and tired today.

Yesterdays diary:

9am bowl of granola with oat milk, cup of coffee with oat milk and one sugar, cup of hot water with lemon

11am a banana

1.30pm salad with tuna steak and a fried egg, bag of salted peanuts. Pint of beer. (eating out)

4pm tyrells root veg crisps with houmous, some olives. 2 glasses red wine.

Seemed to crave crisps and crap! Ah well.

Getgood eats... In a burger bar

Yesterday's diary:

9am bowl of granola with oat milk and blackberries

10am 2 pieces of ryvita with spread and bacon

12pm camomile tea - have acquired a taste for this.

1.30pm lunch in Eddie's American Diner at Cardiff Bay - nothing there I could eat apart from salad. Sneaky trip to tesco meant I could add some ready-to-eat roast chicken breast to it and have a substantial meal whilst everyone else tucked into burgers and fries.

A nice walk around Cardiff Bay!

4pm a banana and packet of apple slices. 2 pints of beer.

7pm veggie chilli (mushroom, courgette, red onion, pepper, garlic, tomatoes, kidney beans) with brown rice and guacamole.

A pint of beer. And a mad but brilliant film on BBC iplayer called My Dog Tulip.

Getgood eats... Some much-missed red meat

Yesterday's diary:

8am granola with oat milk and raspberries

11am a banana

1.45pm a mushroom, tomato and red onion omelette with salad and olives.

4pm lots of White grapes.

5.30pm a very nice walk in the park!

8.30pm - spag Bol - sauce with minced beef, tinned tomatoes, courgette, red onion, garlic, leek, mushrooms, carrots, red & green pepper, red wine and sauce. Brown pasta. I was told I'm allowed red meat once a week. It was well nice!

4 large glasses of red wine - have friends visiting.

Catching up on the food diary.

So I've lapsed a lot with keeping up the food diary and if I'm honest lapsed a little with the diet, but not too much hopefully. Heres a selection of what I've been eating. Lapses are:

I cracked and ate one of Carl's pancakes on Shrove Tuesday and some of my friend's pork scratchings in the pub. I love pork scratchings - such a 'so wrong yet feels so right' sort of food!

I'm not doing so good on the 'eat every 3 hours thing' or including protein, like nuts when I snack - seem to gave a preference for fruit.

Tyrrells root veg crisps - I do miss crisps but unsure these are the answer. Yes they're root veg not potato but they're still fried in oil. A question for the nutritionist methinks. Anyway I had a packet on the train the other day.

Caffeine is my crack - only down to two coffees a day so far.

I miss bread lots!

Anyways, doing the food diary again from yesterday as seeing nutritionist again 11th march.

Getgood eats... But isn't that hungry

Not feeling too well today, which has me off my food. Will hopefully get to see my new Cardiff GP tomorrow.

8.30am bowl of plain porridge with oat milk, flax oil, nuts and seeds, ground almond and raspberries.

10am mug of hot water with lemon

12pm a banana

4pm M&S wholefood salad thing (ingredients above)

7pm peppered mackerel, mashed sweet potato with spinach, steamed broccoli, parsnips and sprouts. Couldn't finish it.
