Yesterdays diary 9am bowl of granola with oat milk and 2 strawberries
12.30pm cup of coffee with cow milk and one sugar. bowl of Covent Garden pepper and pear soup with added spinach, broccoli and 3pieces of ryvita and aubergine spread (just discovered this stuff in health good shop - it's delicious!)
2.30pm a banana
3.30pm handful of mixed nuts
5pm 100g of small sweetfire beetroot
7pm dinner at a friend's: Tomato, mozzarella cheese and salami for starters. Sea bass, mushroom risotto with white rice and green beans for main Cheese board for afters: 4 cream crackers with blue cheese, Brie, Wensleydale, cheddar. 3-4 glasses White wine Cup of coffee with cow milk
10pm 2 pints of water before bed!!
Yep, a total blow-out at dinner but I'm not bothered by it, I'd be far more bothered by turning into a fussy and difficult dinner guest. This was Carl and I's first Cardiff dinner invitation by a lovely friend and the invitation, food and conversation were all great. I was loathe to mar that by trying to dictate the menu. I think it must be manners before diet when someone is going to the very kind effort of cooking for me! Mind you I blatantly attacked the cheeseboard with far more gusto than was called for... ;)
